Case Study 2 – Getting the basics in place
A small, friendly, independent family run garage in Oxfordshire.
The Director had an issue with the performance of an employee in their probationary period and wanted some support on how to deal with the issue. In addition, he needed some support to get contracts of employment and other basic HR requirements in place.
SpiresHR supported the business through the process of resolving the performance issue by quickly identifying solutions to the issue, writing guidance notes and providing advice over the phone.
We then wrote a job description and supported the recruitment of a new member of staff by creating the advert, advertising the role on line, receiving the applications and performing screening interviews.
We wrote an interview guide and supported the Director with final interviews. After that we produced a contract of employment tailored to the needs of the business for all employees and created an employee handbook containing important policies and procedures.
The basic HR requirements are now in place, there is a stable workforce and SpiresHR are acting as the Company’s outsourced HR department by providing on-going support on a variety of HR requirements.
