Case Study 3 – Redundancy Programme
A printing business based in Oxfordshire.
Due to the loss of a major contract, the business had to make the difficult decision to make 7 redundancies.
SpiresHR supported the business by giving advice on the redundancy process to follow. Advice was given about the steps to follow, the selection pools, redundancy payments & notice periods, the correspondence and how to manage each consultation meeting. The consultation process was meaningful and changes were made as a result of feedback given by the employees. An outplacement support workshop was delivered for the affected individuals.
The management team were supported to follow a fair process and there were no appeals by affected employees.
