New National Minimum Wage Rates 2014

The National Minimum wage is to increase by 3% to £6.50 for adults and by 2% to £5.13 per hour for 18 to 20-year olds from 1st October 2014, the government has announced.

The under 18 rate will increase by 2% and the Apprentice rate increases by 2%.

*This rate is for apprentices under 19 or those in the first year of level 2 or 3 apprenticeships. All other apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum Wage for their age.
